At this time the land of Hyrule was in chaos. One day, an evil army led by Ganon attacked and stole the Triforce of Power. Fearing his wicked rule, Zelda, split up the Triforce of Wisdom into eight fragments and hid them throughout the land to keep it safe from Ganon. At the same time, she sent Impa her nursemaid, to secretly escape and go find somebody with enough courage to destory the evil Ganon.
When he heard this Ganon was furious. He sent out many of his followers to destroy Impa. Impa braved forests and mountains, and as she reached the very limit of her energy she found herself surounded by Ganon's henchmen.
Luckily for her, a young man appeared named Link. He drove off Ganon's henchmen, and saved Impa from a fate worse than death. During his travels he had come accross Impa and Ganon's henchmen. Impa told Link the whole story of the princess Zelda and the evil Ganon. Link decided to set out and save Zelda, even though he knew how powerful Ganon was. Ganon held the Triforce of Power. And so, to fight off Ganon, Link knew he had to retrieve the scattered fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom.
He soon set out into the land to face his destiny.
